Douglas lifeboat was called out in the early hours of this morning for a medical evacuation from a fishing vessel.
The call out came around 3.30am when the boat was around 18 miles east of Douglas. Her skipper reported that a crewman was suffering from chest pains and tingling sensations in his limbs.
The casualty was transferred to the Sir William Hillary and brought back to the liner berth between the Victoria and King Edward Piers in Douglas harbour, where the lifeboat was met by the Port Authorities and the casualty handed over to a waiting ambulance crew.
There's no word on the current condition of the fisherman.
The lifeboat was back on station and ready for launch by 5.15am.
