45-year-old will stand trial
A Douglas man's appeared in court over an allegation he hid £3,500 worth of heroin internally.
Forty-five-year-old Paul Clint Shields, of Mona Terrace, denied possessing the drug with intent to supply on 9 January.
The court heard police were on patrol in Douglas that day when they stopped a Mini Cooper at around 2pm.
Mr Shields, a passenger in the car, was searched and officers allegedly found a package of white powder.
He was taken to Noble's Hospital.
The hearing was told a package of heroin, weighing around 13 grammes, was found.
Its value was given as between £1,700 and £3,500.
Mr Shields will now face trial in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Bail was granted and he will next appear in court on 28 June.
