Package was intercepted at Isle of Man Post HQ in Braddan
A Douglas man who sent a package of drugs, worth around £10,000, in the post will be sentenced later this year.
Twenty-eight-year-old Conor Robert Ryan Maguire, of Castlemona Avenue, appeared at Douglas Courthouse accused of producing cannabis.
The court heard 490.2g of cannabis, worth £9,804, was discovered at the Isle of Man Postal Headquarters in Braddan when a parcel was x-rayed on 17 February.
The package was swapped out for a dummy before the intended recipient picked it up and was arrested.
Upon their arrest, their phone showed a connection to Maguire, who had been directing them to pick it up.
The pair will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery; Maguire was bailed until his next appearance there on 30 May.
