Manx Rainbow Association calls gathering
The Island's gay community is to hold an outdoor vigil in Douglas tonight, in a show of solidarity for the 50 people killed in the Florida nightclub shootings.
The Manx Rainbow Association has organised a memorial in the sunken garden on Douglas Promenade starting at 6pm.
The event is open to all, and the group, which represents the LGBT community, has suggested people wear bright or rainbow-themed clothing.
A lone terrorist gunman burst into a packed gay nightclub in Orlando in the early hours of Sunday morning and opened fire.
Fifty revelers lost their lives and another 53 were seriously injured in the deadliest mass shooting in recent US history.
The Manx Rainbow Association says anyone who'd like to show support but is unable to attend tonight, can contribute to an online appeal set up for victims' families.
