A man escaped with only minor injuries last night after a crash on the Mountain Road.
The incident happened shortly after 5pm at Hailwood Rise when the Ford Fiesta he was driving clipped a bank while overtaking.
The car rolled off the road and into nearby fields – but its driver suffered minor injuries to his elbow and lower back.
He was taken by ambulance to Noble’s Hospital. The road was closed for around four hours as emergency services dealt with the incident.
