Chief Minister said it will continue to seek advice 'where time permits'
The chief minister has denied overlooking the Emergency Advisory Group saying government needed to 'get on with' making a decision over dropping isolation.
Howard Quayle was quizzed in Tynwald on why the group – set up after a request from the court to provide advice, perspective and insight in emergency situations – was not consulted.
Consultation was undertaken with the testing strategy group and the Public Health silver group.
He told Tynwald members today that the decision to drop mandatory testing and self-isolation last week was after ‘strong feedback’ from the business community and because of the impact on critical services.
