Formerly known as 'Manx Economic Development Council'
A monitoring body comprising businesses, unions and government will soon be introduced to the Manx political sphere - that's according to Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
Speaking during the House of Keys yesterday (31 Jan), he explained the 'Manx Economic Development Forum' will act as an advisory group to the Cabinet Office.
The body will contain representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, the Trade Union Council, and the Council of Voluntary Organisations.
The minister was quizzed by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper over what the remit of the forum would be.
It was formerly known as the Manx Economic Development Council.
Mr Thomas says it will meet quarterly and provide an opportunity for inclusive discussions on the main economic issues facing the Island:
