The Island has some big decisions to make about secondary education for 14-19 year olds over the next year.
Sweeping changes to GCSE and A-level exams in England are due to come in from September 2015.
But the Island's Department of Education and Children aims to have decided at least one year before that whether to follow the English curriculum overhaul or introduce long-term reforms of its own.
In a separate move, new A-Level standard 'Tech Level' vocational qualifications to be taught in England from 2014, were announced this week.
