Members of the NASUWT were balloted with 82-percent voting in favour of strike action
The education minister is urging a teaching union on the Island to de-escalate industrial action while they continue negotiations so the students don't have to suffer any further.
It's as members of the NASUWT, who have already escalated actions short of strike, have now voted in favour of striking.
Current action has already seen some high schools ask year groups to work from home as they don't have enough staff to safely manage break times.
