Consultation due to take place next year
It's unlikely the Island's employment laws will be updated before next year's House of Keys general election.
Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly admitted that next year's legislative programme means the Employment Law Amendment Bill may have to wait until the next administration.
However, a public consultation on the proposals is expected to take place in 2021.
Mr Skelly says it will look at a range of issues:
Mountain closure further extended
Chief minister proposes issuing new MiCards to those who can't open bank accounts
Timeline for new CRHS 'a bit tight', says education minister
More details about MiCard replacement could be revealed today
