IOMFOE backs move to limit engine pollution
Isle of Man Friends of the Earth is supporting plans to limit pollution caused by idling engines.
It follows news that parents who leave their car engines running while they're collecting or dropping off their children at school in England could soon be fined.
New guidance suggests 'no-idling zones' should be brought in outside schools, hospitals and care homes.
Co-ordinator of Isle of Man Friends of the Earth, Pete Christian, says the move to tackle the issue is a "no brainer" - but believes a carrot may be more effective than a stick:

Island's first rapid EV charger being installed
Mooir Vannin could be first of many
'Significant investment or redevelopment' needed at Ramsey District Cottage Hospital
Braddan Commissioners open expressions of interest for TT camping at Roundhouse
