Outcome not as bad as it could have been, says Cannan
The Island's Treasury minister says an EU meeting about a so-called tax haven blacklist seems to have not been as bad for the Isle of Man as it could have been.
The zero rate of corporation tax, which the Island offers along with the likes of Jersey, Guernsey and a number of British Overseas Territories, was the main topic of discussion at the meeting.
The Guardian has reported the UK Treasury will attempt to block the creation of any such list.
Mr Cannan says such discussions at the EU are nothing new:
