Measure in place tonight and tomorrow
Air Traffic Control will be taking an extra break today and tomorrow due to issues with staff sickness (20-21 June).
Yesterday the airfield failed to open on time, with Ronaldsway saying five ATC team members were suffering from sickness.
Air traffic controllers are required to take mandatory breaks during the working shift to avoid fatigue.
The additional break will be in the evenings from 7pm until 7:35pm.
It's not known how much of an impact it will have on the flight schedules, however tonight's easyJet flight from London Gatwick is due to arrive at 7:25pm.
