Measure to protect staff and customers
Shoprite is now requiring all those entering its stores to wear a face covering.
It's to protect staff and their families as well as other customers.
Those with exemptions and children under the age of eleven won't be required to wear one.
The local supermarket chain is calling on the public to support the measure, and says 'we done this before, and we can do it again.'
Safety protocols including protective screens, social distancing, and increased sanitisation have also been brought in this week.
