New location and layout praised
Chief Officers of the Manx Fire and Ambulance departments say that new multipurpose facilities have 'improved the quality of their service'.
Senior figures were in attendance at the official unveiling last night of the £1.45million station opposite Ronaldsway Airport, which is the first of its kind on Island.
Incorporation of a 'drive-in-drive-out' layout, training facilities, and an improved location are among the benefits.
Acting Chief Ambulance Officer Ray Beattie and Chief Fire Officer Kevin Groom argue it was a necessary step:

Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
