Route made safe after two hours
The A1 road between Douglas and Peel has re-opened, after a tree blocked the route near Greeba Castle.
Police and Department of Infrastructure staff were called to the scene shortly after 3pm.
The road remained closed to traffic until around 5.20pm.
Traffic was diverted at Ballacraine and Crosby - while the Archallagan Road was made temporarily one-way in order to ease congestion.
