
A farmer in the west of the Island has been telling Manx Radio about the animals her family has lost, despite trying to shelter them from the freezing conditions.

She had over 350 sheep and over 30 cows.
But she lost at least half of her stock after bringing them into sheds, the roofs of which then collapsed under the weight of the snow which settled on top of them:
