Police operation helps cut motorcycle thefts from 23 to 9
An operation to stop thieves targeting TT visitors in Liverpool helped cut the number of motorbikes being stolen by more than 50%.
Merseyside Police recorded 23 thefts during the TT fortnight in 2017, but a drive to protect visitors while they wait for the ferry saw just nine thefts this year.
The campaign also resulted in three arrests.
