Magistrates' court held this week
Ten individuals and 21 businesses on the Island have been issued fines for income tax and national insurance related offences.
The Magistrate’s Income Tax Court was held this week.
Nine businesses were fined a total of £13,560 for failing to pay income tax instalments or Class 1 National Insurance contributions.
Not submitting their tax return on time has cost eight people just over £5000 in total, while two businesses who didn't submit employer's annual returns on time have been fined £1,450 altogether.
The other offences include failing to submit contractor's annual returns on time, not complying with a notice to submit company income tax return forms and not complying with a notice to submit accounts in support of a tax return.
