Seven-year-old at Alder Hey
A young boy from the Island whose illness sparked a political furore has begun receiving treatment in the UK.
Finley Hesketh, 7, was initially denied the muscular dystrophy drug Translarna by the Department of Health and Social Care - which stated the costs of funding it at £250,000 per year were unaffordable.
The drug is available on the NHS in England.
But after a fall in the price of Translarna, the DHSC last month reversed its decision.
On Thursday, Finley travelled to Alder Hey Children's Hospital for baseline tests - he's expected to begin taking Translarna in the coming weeks.
