Next phase soon to begin
The first phase of the resurfacing of Douglas promenade is complete.
A new smoother surface has been laid between Castlemona Avenue and the Palace Hotel, whilst the next phase from the Palace Hotel and Casino to the bottom of Summer Hill is expected to begin within the next few days.
Project engineer at the Department of Infrastructure Darren Young says the works are a short-term fix but need to be done:
