The Island's first Youth Arts Forum has been a great success.
Dozens of youngsters attended the event yesterday afternoon (Thurs) at the former Douglas Youth Club on Kensington Road.
The initiative forms part of the Island of Culture Youth Engagement Programme and aims to encourage youngsters between the ages of 12 and 18 to get involved in or develop their creative skills from music and drama to visual arts.
Fiona Helleur is the Head of Youth Arts and says whilst there's already a lot going on in the Island, she hopes the Forum and Island of Culture have a legacy of getting young people to try out the arts . .
