Lifeboat launched after vessel suffers engine failure
Douglas lifeboat was called out yesterday (29 June) afternoon to go to the aid of a fishing boat with a failed engine.
The 8 metre vessel with four people on board had left Douglas earlier in the morning on a fishing trip.
They called the coastguard around 2pm after a fuel line blockage meant they couldn't re-start their engine.
The Sir William Hillary was launched and quickly located the boat around a mile off Port Grenaugh.
She was towed back to Douglas harbour where she berthed on the Battery Pier Visitors' Pontoon.
