Hosting talk at the Manx Museum today
There's a chance to find out more about the career of the man who oversaw the longest prison riot in British history today (22 May).
Brendan O'Friel, who retired on the Isle of Man, has published a 'Prison Governor's Journal' - his account of managing jails in England and Wales.
He's hosting a launch, in conjunction with Manx National Heritage, at 2pm at the Manx Museum with the book being sold exclusively in Island shops.
Mr O'Friel says the impact of the pandemic on prisons spurred him to get his account published:
