Steam Packet due to replace Manannan in 2026
There needs to be consideration over how a replacement fastcraft the Island will be funded.
That's from the treasury minister, who's been giving evidence to a Tynwald committee looking into regulation of the Steam Packet Company.
The Treasury-owned operator's contract with government - the Sea Services Agreement - states a replacement for the Manannan should be secured by 2026.
