A Garff commissioner has declared their intention to stand in the General Election in September.
Richard Henthorn is the chair of the local authority.
He says with the closure of the Marine Infrastructure Management Act enquiry, he believes it's time to stand as the voice of the community against the Mooir Vannin Wind Farm proposal.
Also standing in the election is Anthony Allen, Sean Bostrom, Daphne Caine, Aishlinn Creer, Vicki Hewison, Peter Kermeen and Martyn Perkins.
The General Election is taking place on Thursday 24 September.
