Licence no longer proof of address
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the decision to change Manx driving licenses was not put out to public consultation.
In Tynwald this morning he faced questions on the topic from Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer - who criticised the fact they can no longer be used as proof of address.
Mr Gawne turned the tables on him, telling Mr Singer he had signed off the decision to remove addresses from the document - and so only had himelf to blame.
He told the Court addresses were frequently out of date on driving licenses and weren't needed.
And he added the Island wasn't alone in leaving them off:
