Licence no longer proof of address
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the decision to change Manx driving licenses was not put out to public consultation.
In Tynwald this morning he faced questions on the topic from Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer - who criticised the fact they can no longer be used as proof of address.
Mr Gawne turned the tables on him, telling Mr Singer he had signed off the decision to remove addresses from the document - and so only had himelf to blame.
He told the Court addresses were frequently out of date on driving licenses and weren't needed.
And he added the Island wasn't alone in leaving them off:
BMA finds less than a quarter of doctors recommend working at Manx Care
Abuse towards bus drivers 'will not be tolerated'
Mountain Road closed due to snow and ice
Majority of rates going up for residents across the Island
