DEFA carrying out preliminary works at Groudle Glen
Preliminary works are taking place today ahead of the refurbishment of the waterwheel at Groudle Glen.
The footpath that runs past the waterwheel will be shut today while the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture carries out work in the area.
A further closure is planned for next month.
Earlier this year, Laxey company MMD reached an agreement to demolish and reconstruct the wheel, which has fallen into a state of disrepair.
