New ideas for former hotel
Plans are in place to transform the site of the former Glen Helen Inn, around nine and a half miles along the TT course, into a new tourist hotspot.
Glen Helen Glamping Ltd has submitted plans to demolish the hotel and build a single storey welcome centre in its place.
The proposals also contain a cafe, and twelve 'family glamping pods', in association with James Fennel Microlodges.
Glen Helen remains a focal point during TT, with a commentary point there, but the hotel has been out of action since 2014.
