Worries over environmental impact
Proposals to develop Glen Truan golf course in Bride must be considered an issue of national concern.
So say organisers of a requisition meeting being held tomorrow (28 Sep) to discuss businessman John Morphet's plans to build 55 holiday and residential homes at the site.
It starts at 7pm in Bride Hall, whereas next Tuesday (3 Oct) the parish commissioners are holding a 'residents-only' event to debate the plans.
Sophie Pearce says the plans could threaten the Island's biosphere status, and set a precedent for building 'caravan-like' homes.
Ms Pearce told Manx Radio it was vital views from all quarters are heard:

Garff Commissioners hosting offshore windfarm drop in session today
Public invited to suggest new brownfield site for potential re-development
Anthony Allen re-elected as chair at Onchan Commissioners
Police urge public to check person's identification if claiming to be a police officer
