CoC says focus should be on improving productivity instead
The Isle of Man needs to improve the productivity of its existing workforce rather than focus on ‘hard job numbers’.
That’s what the Chamber of Commerce has told the Economic Policy Review Committee.
President Kristan McDonald says he doesn’t believe government’s target of creating and filling 5,000 new jobs by 2032 has been set correctly.
He's also cast doubt on whether the drive to increase the population, by 15,000 people, is realistic.
