Douglas Central member questions public trust in Cannan administration
The upcoming 2026 general election is a 'chance for the public to make their views known' to make sure we 'have a better government next time'.
That's from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas, who's been speaking on Manx Radio's Mannin Line programme today.
He says he believes he's been able to contribute more from outside government than from in it.
An MHK for 12 years now, Mr Thomas is the longest continuous serving member of the House of Keys - besides the chief minister (Alfred Cannan) or the speaker (Juan Watterson).
He says there is a 'real lack of trust' in the current administration:
