Ice expected as temperatures to drop below zero
A yellow weather warning in place for wintry showers and ice until tomorrow (Tuesday, 16 January) has been extended from midday to 3pm.
Ronaldsway Met Office says temperatures will fall below zero tonight, leading to a risk of ice developing on road surfaces.
The warning covers the whole Island.
It adds; another spell of rain is expected tomorrow morning, falling as rain or sleet on lower ground and as snow on higher ground, then turning increasingly to rain at all levels in the afternoon.
The Department of Infrastructure says its gritters will be out on the roads from 6pm tonight.
