Eight per cent to find work
Just over half of GCSE students on the Isle of Man will go on to study for A-Levels in September.
Yesterday (12 August) nearly 850 teenagers received their exam results – students also collected IGCSE and Level 1 and 2 grades.
For the second year in a row exams were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says the class of 2021 should be proud of their resilience after a 'difficult and disrupted period' in their education.
A third of students are expected to take up a place at University College Isle of Man - less than eight per cent will seek employment.
