£9.5 million Douglas school officially opens
Students and teachers are celebrating a successful first term at a new primary school in Douglas by commemorating the occasion.
The £9.5 million Henry Bloom Noble Primary School was officially opened this afternoon (January 5), inviting 301 pupils back after the festive break.
Headteacher Ian Walmsley says everyone has acclimatised, and the children are "ready to learn and grow".
At the event, Venerable Andy Brown made a dedication before Education and Children Minister Graham Cregeen unveiled a plaque.
