The health minister says he wouldn't be in favour of restricting who can go on an NHS dentist's list on the Isle of Man.
Last year, Manx Care revealed it was considering introducing eligibility criteria in a bid to tackle the waiting list, which currently stands at more than 5,000.
Lawrie Hooper told the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee the move would need his department's backing, and that he isn't keen on introducing restrictions.
