MERS comments on controversial move
There are hidden benefits to the Manx economy lost with the scrapping of the horse trams, according to a historic transport enthusiast.
Douglas Borough Council announced on Friday the 140-year-old service was to be terminated immediately, as a cost-saving measure.
There has since been a significant public backlash, with a number of petitions emerging online to save the iconic trams.
