A religious figurehead with close ties to the Hillsborough disaster and those affected by it was on the Island at the weekend
Tom Williams is auxiliary bishop in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool, of which the Catholic Church in the Isle of Man is a part.
At the time of the tragedy in April 1989 he was a parish priest, with both the Liverpool and Everton football grounds within his parish boundaries, and conducted the funerals of many of the 96 who died.
Speaking on Manx Radio's 'Praise' programme, he said the impact of the tragedy and its aftermath has affected many thousands:
