Graih coordinator says time for talking is over
The link between homelessness and mental health is endemic.
That's according to coordinator at Graih, Michael Manning.
The homeless charity says mental ill health is something the organisation deals with on a regular basis.
An audit carried out three years ago showed 94% of people using the service had either a diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health issue.
Mr Manning says since then government has discussed the problem more, but the timing for talking is over:
Have you been affected by any of the issues mentioned, or have had experience using the mental health services on the Island?
Get in touch with the newsroom in confidence, if you'd like to be involved in a new series on mental health, 'Island Mentality'.
