Recommendations from Population Rebalancing Committee to be put to Tynwald
Finance, employment law and rights to maternity leave have acted as the biggest barriers to couples looking to start a family, but that could be soon to change.
Fifteen recommendations are due to be put to Tynwald, including a one that would seek support for pre-school credit to be extended to include children from the age of one.
Others include payments to be made to parents at specific milestones in a child's life to assist with things like school uniforms.
The move mirrors the UK's announcement which would see the changes come into effect in 2025.
