Grand Island Hotel plans submitted
A company’s unveiled plans to build a housing estate on the site of the Grand Island Hotel in Ramsey.
Shearwater Ltd, which has its registered office in Water Street in Ramsey, has applied to build 11 detached houses on the site.
The hotel closed in 2009, and demolished in 2011 – but plans to build apartments on the site never came to fruition.
Now, however, the new plans show developers now want to build large luxury homes on the 3.7-acre site.
