Mother and calf spotted playing in Peel bay
A young dolphin spotted recently playing in the shores of the west of the Island has been named 'Starlight'.
It's as hundreds voted in a Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch competition.
The calf has been seen swimming with its mother in the shallow waters of Peel bay in recent weeks.
Once spotted, the charity tracked the mum to a pod in Scotland and discovered her name is Moonlight.
The competition saw 461 votes for the winning name Starlight - it's believed she has a sister called Luna.
In a post on social media the charity has described the calf as a 'little ray of light and hope.'
