Police in Ramsey are appealing for information after a man in his sixties was assaulted when he confronted two men who'd broken into his home.
The 62-year old disturbed the burglars when he found them in his house on the corner of Bowring Road and Coburg Road, at 7.30pm last Wednesday.
He was assaulted by both men and was left with what police describe as 'significant injuries'.
The pair are both white; one is in his mid to late twenties, the other in his early thirties.
Detectives from CID have joined local officers in the investigation. House to house inquiries are continuing and forensic tests have been carried out at the scene.
Officers want to hear from anyone who was walking or driving in the area at the time and who noticed anything unusual, to come forward.
