
A new biography of Illiam Dhone, the first detailed account of his life to be written, has been published this week.
January 2 next year marks the 350th anniversary of his execution by firing squad, for turning the Island over to parliamentary forces during the English Civil War.
Commissioned by the Manx Heritage Foundation, the book by Jennifer Kewley-Draskau aims to answer the question often asked of Dhone - was he a patriot, or a traitor?
