Pan fire on King Edward Road
Householders are being reminded once again of the importance of fitting smoke alarms in their properties - and ensuring they're in working order.
It's after two appliances were called to an incident on King Edward Road last night (Tues).
It had been caused by an unattended pan left on the hob in the kitchen.
The fire was out when fire services arrived and crews remained at the scene for around half an hour to clear the house of smoke.
