Support group in talks with DHSC
Improved care from the Island's health service for the estimated 350 M.E. sufferers could soon be on the horizon - that's according to chair of the local support group, Celia Marshall.
She says talks are on-going with the Department of Health and Social Care about what services could be provided, but nothing is yet decided.
Her comments follow the visit of Linda Tannenbaum last week (24 May), the CEO of the Open Medicine Foundation which is looking to find a cure for M.E.
She gave a presentation on the crippling disease to Tynwald members, including the Health Minister Kate Beecroft.
