Shift in fortune for Manx pensioners
Typical pensioner incomes on the Isle of Man is rising faster than that of working families.
That's according to the acting executive director of Policy and Strategy Carl Hawker - news of the situation on Island was prompted by the outcome of a UK report, released earlier this month.
The Resolution Foundation found pensioner households in the UK to be around £20 a week better off than the average working age household.
In 2001, people of pensionable age were £70 worse off at the end of every week.
