
New government figures show inflation has fallen again.
The Retail Prices Index now stands at 2.6 per cent, down from 2.9 per cent in February, while the Consumer Prices Index fell from 1.8 per cent to 1.6 per cent.
The data shows there’s been bad news for foodies over the last year – cereals, lamb, oils, milk and coffee have all risen in price by more than 20 per cent in just 12 months.
But there’s better news if you fly to and from the Island, with figures showing the price of air travel has fallen by 20 per cent over the last year.
