46-year-old died at Jurby facility last month
An inquest has opened at Douglas Courthouse following the death of a prisoner.
Forty-six-year-old Christopher Peter Corkill of Ballasalla died on the 23 or 24 of February at Jurby prison.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes told the court investigations are ongoing, with a medical cause of death yet to be determined.
Proceedings were adjourned to be concluded at a later date.
