The Isle of Man is seeking to appoint a new Deemster.
A crown appointment made by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, applicants are invited from both on and off-Island candidates.
The successful applicant will be particularly responsible for presiding over the Court of General Gaol Delivery, and will also have administrative and ceremonial duties as assigned by the First Deemster.
To be considered, you must be a qualified advocate, barrister or solicitor of at least 10 years standing, with a "comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Manx law", or "an ability and commitment to gain such knowledge."
The closing date for applications is 12 September 2019 at 5pm, with interviews being held at the end of the month.
